Managing Attorney
The Managing Attorney at Americans United for Separation of Church and State will lead the organization's legal team, overseeing litigation and legal strategy to advance the mission of protecting religious freedom and promoting the separation of church and state. This role involves managing a team of attorneys and legal staff, coordinating with other departments, and representing the organization in legal matters.
Key responsibilities include supervising and mentoring legal staff, developing and implementing legal strategies, managing litigation cases, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Managing Attorney will also collaborate with other departments to support the organization's advocacy efforts and may represent Americans United in public forums and media.
Candidates should have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, admission to the bar, and significant experience in civil litigation, preferably in constitutional law or related fields. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential, along with a commitment to the organization's mission and values.
