Manager Trade Compliance
The Manager Trade Compliance at Intuitive is responsible for overseeing and developing strategies, policies, and processes related to the import and export of medical devices within the APAC region. This role ensures compliance with regional trade regulations while facilitating efficient international trade operations. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in global trade regulations and customs operations, with a proven track record of coordinating cross-functional projects.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing trade compliance policies and procedures, supervising import/export transactions to ensure smooth cross-border flow, and managing compliance with various trade programs such as duty suspension and drawback. The role also involves overseeing daily import/export operations, conducting audits to maintain data integrity, and providing accurate trade data to internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Manager Trade Compliance will serve as a subject matter expert on customs compliance matters and participate in new product development to ensure all trade compliance requirements are met.
Candidates should have a strong technical knowledge of global trade compliance principles, including customs valuation, incoterms, licenses and permits, country of origin, HTS classifications, duty optimization, and export controls. Experience with APAC customs regulations and trade programs is essential. The role requires strong analytical and change management skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. A bachelor's degree in supply chain, international business, finance, or a related field is required, along with at least 7 years of experience in trade compliance or logistics operations compliance.
