Manager - Global Legal Services Center

Avery Dennison is seeking an experienced lawyer to lead and scale its Global Legal Services (GLS) team in Bangalore. This role involves managing a high-performing team, optimizing legal service delivery through process and technology, and serving as a trusted partner to global business and legal stakeholders across time zones.

The Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the GLS team, including setting up necessary processes, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) for various contracts. Responsibilities also encompass training and onboarding new team members, maintaining team engagement, and implementing contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted service. Additionally, the role involves tracking performance metrics, conducting quality assurance reviews, and managing escalations by liaising with relevant stakeholders.

Candidates must possess an LL.B. degree from a recognized university and be admitted to practice in India. A minimum of 9–12 years of post-qualification experience is required, with substantial experience in a multinational in-house legal team or leading law firm, focusing on commercial contracts. Proven experience managing a Legal Center of Excellence or leading a legal function within a shared services environment is essential. Advanced proficiency in drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements, strong stakeholder management skills, and excellent written and spoken English are also necessary.
