Managed Healthcare and Commercial Litigation Associate
Wilson Elser's Los Angeles office is seeking a Managed Healthcare and Commercial Litigation Associate to join their team. This role involves handling a diverse range of business and consumer litigation cases for managed healthcare clients, including physician groups and health plans, in complex litigation and regulatory matters. The associate will be responsible for drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents, attending court hearings, depositions, and mediations, and managing a litigation caseload from inception to resolution. Effective communication with clients and providing regular status reports are also key aspects of the role.
Candidates must possess a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to practice in California. A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably with a mix of commercial and healthcare defense, is required. Familiarity with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, and experience with arbitration and alternative dispute resolution are preferred. Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills are essential.
