Transportation Litigation Attorney
Wilson Elser is seeking a proactive and highly skilled Transportation Litigation Attorney to join our Seattle office. This role involves representing a large international logistics services provider, offering the opportunity to work on challenging cases and be at the forefront of litigating emerging legal issues within the transportation sector. The position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement, allowing for a balance between in-office collaboration and remote work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a litigation caseload from inception to resolution, conducting legal research and analysis related to transportation laws and regulations, drafting pleadings and legal documents, attending court hearings, depositions, and mediations, and negotiating settlements on behalf of clients. Collaboration with colleagues across departments and offices is essential to contribute to a cohesive and supportive team environment.
Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to practice in the state of Washington. A minimum of 5-7 years of general casualty litigation experience is required, with first and/or second chair trial experience strongly desired. Experience in transportation and logistics, trucking, and related regulatory matters is preferred. Superior analytical skills, strong written and oral communication abilities, and sophisticated technical skills are essential for this role.
