Machine Learning Pleno
The Machine Learning Pleno position at Experian involves joining a platform team dedicated to building production Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities utilized across various regions. The role focuses on delivering platform utilities such as model hosting, inference, evaluation, and memory management, as well as deploying impactful GenAI use cases using internal tools on Databricks and AWS.
Key responsibilities include developing and enhancing GenAI platform components like serving/inference paths, evaluation pipelines, and memory management utilities. The role also involves delivering priority GenAI use cases with internal platform tools, iterating with users, and measuring outcomes. Additional duties encompass writing production-quality Python code with tests, reviews, and documentation, working in Databricks for development and pipelines, integrating with AWS services and, when necessary, EKS, and improving reliability, cost, and latency through profiling, observability, and pragmatic optimization.
The position requires advanced English proficiency and availability to travel to São Carlos/SP as needed. Candidates should have experience in shipping production services or data/ML pipelines, along with strong Python and software engineering fundamentals, including version control, testing, and code review. Preferred qualifications include experience with Databricks and/or Spark pipelines, LLM applications (RAG, embeddings, evaluation), AWS and containerized deployments with familiarity in EKS, exposure to ML/LLM concepts through projects, coursework, or industry experience, and the ability to work effectively in a distributed, English-speaking environment.
