Legal Project Manager
Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Legal Project Manager to join their market-leading Legal Project Management (LPM) team. This role is integral to shaping a rapidly evolving area of law essential to the firm's growth strategy. The LPM team is embedded within the firm's priority Client Relationship teams and Global Product Groups (GPGs), impacting the delivery of complex legal advice to major clients.
As a Legal Project Manager, you will work on client matters and deals, recording time against those matters, tracking workstreams, collaborating with clients, monitoring resourcing, managing budgets, and integrating innovative solutions into large and complex projects. You will assist with the preparation of project initiation documentation, such as scope, resourcing, and budget proposals, and track progress against those proposals. Additionally, you will dissect problems and processes, apply logical and analytical approaches to solving them, and positively influence individuals across various roles and seniorities to adapt their ways of working.
The ideal candidate will have a background in project management or legal operations, preferably within a professional services or complex matrix environment. Alternatively, experience as a lawyer with matter management experience is also suitable. Strong collaboration, influencing, and internal networking skills are essential. A project management qualification or industry-recognized certification is desirable but not essential, as the firm is willing to support team members in obtaining these qualifications.
