Legal Director HQ & Spain (They/She/He)
Delivery Hero, a global leader in local delivery services, is seeking a Legal Director to lead a team of 10 lawyers, overseeing a broad range of legal issues at both the headquarters and in Spain. This role reports directly to the General Counsel and involves managing internal legal teams and external counsel, serving as a trusted partner for business stakeholders. The position is based in Barcelona, Spain, and requires on-site presence.
The Legal Director will be responsible for negotiating contracts, providing comprehensive advice on corporate and commercial matters, navigating regulatory complexities, ensuring compliance, and enabling innovation. Key duties include overseeing commercial legal affairs, contract reviews, platform and product compliance, intellectual property, litigation, corporate affairs, legal operations, and supervising antitrust matters. The role demands legal expertise, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset.
Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in a corporate legal department or a reputable law firm, with a solid background in tech or fast-paced environments. A law degree and excellent English language skills are mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously, navigate across various geographies and cultures, and coordinate with all areas within the organization. Strong communication and presentation skills, a high level of motivation in the startup and technology sectors, problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit are essential.
