Legal Corporate Counsel, Commercial

Axon is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its contracts and corporate team, supporting global sales operations. This role involves collaborating with departments such as Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product, and IT to structure and negotiate complex transactions, contributing to the company's mission to protect life through innovative public safety technologies.

Key responsibilities include providing legal advice on transactional matters related to Axon's portfolio of public safety technology products, including structuring, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for goods, services, and SaaS solutions. The Corporate Counsel will supervise Contracts Managers, set and enforce acceptable risk levels, and lead the development and implementation of contract lifecycle management systems.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in-house, negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts. A Juris Doctor degree and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar are required. Proficiency in drafting and negotiating contracts for SaaS, hardware, and services, as well as experience with intellectual property agreements and international negotiations, are essential. Familiarity with tools such as Generative AI, Salesforce, CLMs, and Microsoft Office is also desired.
