Land Development Project Manager
Benesch is seeking a Civil/Landscape Architecture Site/Land Development Project Manager to join our Glastonbury, CT office. This role involves leading project teams in the planning and design of civil site and land development projects, managing client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our civil site/land development group. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office and remote work.
Key responsibilities include managing multiple concurrent civil site and land development projects for municipal, public, and private clients. The Project Manager will establish project goals and milestones, define responsibilities, coordinate resources, and monitor project progress. Additional duties involve providing direct supervision and leadership for assigned projects, overseeing project financials, developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring the creation of high-quality engineering documents, adhering to internal quality control procedures, contributing as a technical specialist or advisor, attending municipal meetings for project approvals, and mentoring junior staff.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture from an accredited university program or a related discipline. A Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA) license is required. Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in designing and managing land development projects, a thorough understanding of state and regional design standards, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
The expected compensation range for this position is $124,000 to $165,000 annually. The total annual compensation package includes a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.
