Intake Specialist
Johnson Law Group, a nationally recognized personal injury firm, is seeking an experienced Intake Specialist to join our Houston office. This role is integral to our Personal Injury department, serving as the first point of contact for individuals seeking legal assistance. The Intake Specialist will handle calls with urgency, professionalism, and empathy, assessing case viability and converting qualified leads into signed clients.
Key responsibilities include conducting thorough screenings of personal injury inquiries to evaluate case criteria and firm fit, communicating effectively to represent the firm's values, and maintaining high conversion rates in line with departmental goals. The role also involves accurately inputting and updating client information in the firm's case management system, coordinating with daytime intake, legal assistants, and paralegals to ensure seamless case handoff, and managing high call volumes while prioritizing tasks in real time.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience in a high call-volume environment, proven high conversion rates in a similar intake or call center role, and strong communication skills with the ability to de-escalate, empathize, and build quick rapport. The ability to work independently, high attention to detail, and strong data-entry accuracy are essential. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
This full-time, onsite position in our Houston office offers a fixed schedule of 12:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., starting after four weeks of training. Employees will work five consecutive days each week and receive one weekend day off.
