Inside Account Executive - Geo
Smartsheet is seeking a high-energy, creative Inside Account Executive to work within our largest customers to maximize account growth. This role focuses on generating pipeline, closing volume deals, and partnering with field Account Executives to grow a defined territory. The successful applicant will have a strong interest in software solutions and demonstrate a desire to own bookings and build pipeline in a collaborative teaming environment.
Key responsibilities include consistently exceeding quota, maximizing booking output for volume license and capability attach deals, and identifying pipeline growth opportunities by analyzing and proactively targeting needs across multiple departments and lines of business. The role also involves identifying large solutions deals to pass to the field Account Executive, articulating and demonstrating Smartsheet’s unique business, solution, and functional value propositions, supporting account strategies with aligned Account Executives to ensure territory growth, accurately forecasting and maintaining pipeline health, tracking all relevant sales activity using Salesforce, and proposing, negotiating, and closing volume deals.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of sales experience in software, a consistent track record of exceeding quota, and an interest in learning, applying, and demonstrating new software technologies. They should demonstrate the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams towards common goals, discover customer pain points and requirements, and align multiple stakeholder types to business value, budget, and solutions scope. Exemplary professional communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation—are essential, along with strong organizational skills to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently from multiple sources while achieving production goals from assigned territories. The candidate should also have the ability to adapt to evolving systems, teams, processes, and products, confidence and interest in creative problem-solving, a strong work ethic, and experience with value-based selling processes. Proficiency in core sales tools such as Salesforce, Clari, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and Tableau is preferred.
