Fictiv is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, Mexico. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our manufacturing partners meet the highest quality standards, directly impacting customer satisfaction and product excellence. As part of a dynamic and growing company, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to drive continuous improvement in our supply chain.
The Supplier Quality Engineer will serve as the on-site technical quality contact for suppliers, focusing on process improvements in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Key responsibilities include qualifying and onboarding new manufacturing partners, leading nonconformance resolution through root cause analysis and corrective actions, conducting both on-site and virtual audits to ensure compliance with quality standards, and collaborating with global teams to share best practices and standardize processes. Additionally, the role involves actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Candidates should possess over seven years of experience in manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Proficiency in quality tools like PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and capability studies is essential. The ability to interpret technical drawings with GD&T, experience in reviewing 8D reports, and working directly with suppliers are also required. Fluency in both English and Spanish at a professional level is necessary, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. An internal auditor certification (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949) is desirable.
