Head of Tax (f/m/d)

Awin, a global leader in affiliate marketing, is seeking a Head of Tax (f/m/d) to lead their Global Tax team. This role involves overseeing tax matters for Awin's German parent company, Awin AG, and ensuring compliance across all Awin entities worldwide. The position is based in Berlin, Germany, and offers a hybrid working model to foster collaboration and autonomy.

As the Head of Tax, you will lead a team of three tax professionals located in different locations, fostering a constructive and positive team culture. Your responsibilities include developing Awin's tax strategy, implementing and governing the Tax Control Management System (TCMS), ensuring timely filing of tax returns, managing relationships with external advisors and tax authorities, and preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and Awin Group companies on various tax issues and support business growth initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Economics with a focus on Accounting/Finance or a Master's degree in Law and is a qualified German Tax Advisor (Steuerberater). With at least seven years of relevant experience in Tax Advisory and/or industry roles, including a minimum of three years in a leadership position, you should possess a high degree of competence in Microsoft Excel and ideally knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365. Strong communication skills in both German and English, analytical abilities, and a global mindset are essential.
