Head of Legal, Structured Investments & Annuities - Managing Director

iCapital is seeking a Head of Legal for Structured Investments and Annuities to join its senior Legal team. This role involves overseeing all legal and regulatory aspects of the firm's structured investments and annuities businesses, working closely with senior management and other legal and compliance professionals.

Key responsibilities include acting as general counsel for the structured investments and annuities divisions, advising on strategic initiatives and daily operations, managing a team of attorneys, negotiating complex commercial agreements with product issuers and financial institutions, and driving the modernization of internal legal processes to enhance efficiency and support firm-wide objectives.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house at a broker-dealer or financial technology firm, including managing other attorneys. Strong knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and FINRA rules is essential. Experience with insurance regulations is advantageous. The candidate should possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn in an evolving business environment, and be a member in good standing of the New York Bar or another jurisdiction.
