Head of Compliance, EMEA

As part of its expansion, OKX is seeking a Head of Compliance for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region to oversee and enhance its compliance operations.
In this role, the Head of Compliance, EMEA will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of the compliance program across all OKX entities within the region. This includes managing and elevating the performance of Country Heads of Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs), streamlining workflows, and implementing scalable frameworks to improve decision-making processes. The position also involves liaising with various teams to build a control environment that exceeds regulatory standards while maintaining commercial agility, overseeing compliance reviews and investigations, and producing data-driven compliance reports for management and the Board.
Candidates should have over eight years of experience in compliance within financial services, FinTech, or cryptocurrency industries, with a proven track record of operationalizing compliance strategies. A deep understanding of EU regulations, including MiCA, GDPR, and AMLD5/6, is essential. Strong people management skills, experience leading dispersed teams, and the ability to balance regulatory safety with operational speed are crucial. Proficiency in using data to measure team performance and high-impact communication skills are also important.
