Group Product Manager
Headout is seeking a Group Product Manager (GPM) to lead product strategy and execution across key initiatives. In this role, you will manage and mentor a team of Product Managers, aligning cross-functional teams toward a shared product vision. Your efforts will focus on shaping how we acquire, retain, and delight users globally through thoughtful strategy, user insights, and rapid iteration. This position is pivotal in scaling Headout from 5,000 to 50,000 experiences worldwide.
As a GPM, you will set the strategy and direction for key pods, guiding teams through ambiguity with clarity and purpose. You will own and shape customer-facing and internal systems to enhance user experience, boost conversions, and improve operational efficiency. Utilizing data and insights, you will continuously evolve the product, feeding learnings back into the roadmap for long-term impact. Collaboration with design, engineering, analytics, and operations teams will be essential to ship impactful features swiftly.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of target users and the ability to translate insights into high-impact features. A strong product sense, the ability to break down complex problems, make trade-offs, and prioritize based on user and business impact are crucial. Clear, structured communication skills and comfort in coaching product managers to create alignment across pods and functions are also important.
Candidates should possess at least 7 years of product management experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a people management or leadership role. A proven track record of building and scaling products in fast-paced environments, experience in a metrics-driven and experimentation-led organization, and a strong blend of user empathy and data fluency are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when driving alignment across cross-functional teams, are essential. Experience in a marketplace or platform business is a plus.
