Graduate Software Engineer, DevOps 2027
Graphcore, a leading British semiconductor company specializing in AI accelerators, is offering a Graduate Software Engineer position in DevOps, starting September 2027, based in Bristol, UK. This two-year graduate programme provides hands-on experience in developing and maintaining software infrastructure that supports Graphcore's machine learning software stack.
As a Graduate Software Engineer in DevOps, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining tools for software builds and releases, deploying services using Kubernetes and Docker, and supporting cloud infrastructure managed through tools such as Terraform. You will collaborate closely with teams developing Graphcore's machine learning software stack to automate repetitive tasks and improve engineering workflows. In your first three months, you will work with fellow graduates on a project that develops new capabilities for production, which you will continue to own, develop, and maintain long-term.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or C++ is essential, along with experience developing or managing systems in Linux environments. An understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) is required, with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with others. Exposure to Kubernetes, OpenStack, infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or OpenTofu, GitHub Actions, build tools, high-performance computing (HPC), Grafana, or cloud services such as AWS would be advantageous.
