The Governance, Risk & Compliance Analyst, Specialist is a pivotal member of Vanguard's Global Enterprise Security's Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC), and Strategic Operations team. This role is instrumental in advancing Vanguard's investment in GRC modernization by leading risk assessments, designing scalable governance programs, and ensuring compliance across the organization. The position offers an opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor, enabling teams to operate efficiently while maintaining audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with Enterprise Security and Fraud subdivisions to evaluate the security of applications and systems, conducting comprehensive security and fraud assessments, and developing global security policies and standards. The role also involves advising stakeholders on policy discussions, interfacing with clients regarding IT security capabilities, and working with compliance teams to understand and implement global regulatory requirements. Additionally, the analyst will define and implement automation strategies to enhance delivery and effectiveness, as well as develop data-driven approaches to predict and mitigate risk issues.

Candidates should possess a minimum of seven years of related work experience, specifically in information security or fraud. An undergraduate degree is required, with a preference for a Computer Science background. In-depth knowledge of frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Controls, and ISO 27002 is essential, along with expertise in financial services industry cyber regulations. Demonstrated experience with GRC solutions platforms and automation capabilities is also required. Professional certifications like CISSP, CISM, CompTIA, SANS, or ISC2 are preferred.
