Experian is seeking a GenAI Principal Engineer to lead the architectural vision for our Direct-to-Consumer platforms, emphasizing a mobile-first and AI-native approach. This role involves defining scalable roadmaps for both mobile and web platforms, championing modern development patterns, and integrating AI into all layers of system design. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director of Software Engineering and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in our product offerings.

Key responsibilities include leading technical design across consumer products and internal platforms, shaping cohesive end-to-end architectures spanning APIs, services, and frontends, and guiding strategic areas such as identity, content delivery, personalization, and A/B testing. The role also involves supporting agent-based automation, ensuring security and operational excellence, and mentoring engineers and architects across domains to promote system-level thinking and reusability.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in architecture or principal roles. Proficiency in mobile platforms (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin) and web technologies (React, Angular) is essential, along with expertise in microservices, GraphQL, API-first design, and AWS-native systems. Familiarity with server-driven UI, distributed systems, and resilient architecture is required, as well as experience with AI agent design, LLM orchestration, and integration of AI tools into developer workflows.

Experian offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $153,075 to $275,535, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, and a matching 401K plan. We provide a flexible work environment with options for remote, hybrid, or in-office work, along with flexible time off, including volunteer time off, vacation, sick leave, and 12 paid holidays.
