Fraud Prevention Sr. Specialist
As a Fraud Prevention Senior Specialist at Bitso, you will lead the development and execution of the Fraud Management Program across key markets, including Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, and the United States. This role involves designing scalable fraud prevention frameworks that align with regulatory standards and implementing risk-based controls to protect the business while supporting sustainable growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Compliance, Operations, Product, and Risk to integrate fraud risk mitigation into new products and processes from their inception.
Your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive investigations into complex fraud cases, monitoring market-level fraud performance, and managing key fraud performance indicators. You will be expected to provide timely containment and resolution of fraud incidents, prepare executive-level summaries of significant fraud events, and proactively recommend enhancements to fraud prevention strategies and controls. Additionally, you will drive the evolution of Bitso's fraud infrastructure by developing agile, scalable controls in partnership with cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate will possess professional fluency in both Spanish and English and have over three years of experience in fraud prevention, risk operations, or investigations within the FinTech or payments industry. Experience managing fraud risk for corporate clients, the ability to perform rapid risk assessments during high-pressure incidents, and a strong data-driven mindset are essential. Excellent communication skills are required to act as a "Fraud Advisor" for B2B clients and as a strategic partner to internal teams. Experience in defining and optimizing scalable fraud processes and controls is also necessary.
