Fixed Assets Manager
The Fixed Assets Manager at Experian is responsible for leading and managing two teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end close processes. This role involves advising on journal validation, substantiation, and maintaining proper audit trails. The manager will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, manage expectations, and drive continuous improvement within the team to ensure quality delivery and output.
Key responsibilities include providing overall leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the team, managing team performance and KPIs, and establishing solid backup plans. The manager will monitor and review key risks, ensuring timely action plans and appropriate escalation of issues. Additionally, they will establish metrics on key risk areas and review them monthly to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, best practices, and regulations. Ensuring that Fixed Assets and Leases processes align with global processes and incorporate best practice financial controls is also essential.
The ideal candidate is a Qualified Chartered Accountant with a degree in Accountancy and membership in an internationally recognized accountancy qualification such as ACCA or CPA. They should have 5-8 years of relevant work experience in a multinational environment with regional exposure or experience in a large accounting firm. At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience with a proven track record in change management and developing direct reports is required. Strong knowledge of Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting transactions (IAS38, IAS16, IFRS16) and sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals and IFRS are essential. The candidate should be a strong and passionate mentor with patience and good coaching skills, capable of positively influencing and driving the team to elevate to the next level.
