Export Trade Compliance Counsel
Axiom is seeking an Export Trade Compliance Counsel to join its International Trade and Regulatory team. This remote position focuses on advising clients on U.S. export compliance, licensing, and international shipping regulations. The role involves collaborating with global businesses to ensure adherence to export controls while facilitating cross-border trade.
Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating export-related contracts and compliance documentation. The counsel will provide legal guidance on export controls, licensing requirements, and international trade compliance. Collaboration with internal teams and clients on export strategies and global supply chain compliance is essential. Managing legal issues related to export compliance for clients in technology, manufacturing, and aerospace sectors is also a key aspect of the role. Additionally, the counsel will monitor global regulatory changes to provide timely guidance on export matters.
Candidates should have proven experience advising on U.S. export regulations, licensing, and international trade compliance. A strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and relevant regulatory frameworks is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong problem-solving abilities, are essential. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent and licensure to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction are mandatory.
The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles ranges from $104,500 to $325,000 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
