Experian is seeking an experienced Software Development Specialist to lead and inspire software development teams. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create, define, and plan innovative solutions. This role requires independent and proactive work, demonstrating creativity and high problem-solving skills with minimal supervision, along with excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with technical and business leadership, actively participating in discussions, proposals, and planning, supporting decision-making and conflict resolution. The specialist will serve as a technical reference point, addressing critical issues and providing expert guidance. They will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and operation, leading teams to ensure efficient and agile deliveries. Additionally, the role involves promoting the sharing and application of techniques and best practices through presentations, learning sessions, pair programming, and documentation.
The ideal candidate will have experience in technical leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Proficiency in Java 17+ with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Batch) and microservices architecture using REST and GraphQL APIs is essential. Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito, as well as familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases, is required. The candidate should also have experience with containerized microservices (Docker) orchestrated with Kubernetes, application instrumentation and observability tools (Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana), and knowledge of software architecture models and patterns such as DDD, BDD, Microfrontends, Design Patterns, SOLID, Service Mesh, and Enterprise Integration Patterns. Practical experience with cloud application solutions, especially AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, EMR, SQS), and familiarity with messaging and event tools like RabbitMQ and Kafka are also important. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Jenkins, is expected.
