Enterprise Solutions Engineer
Smartsheet is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Engineer to provide technical leadership throughout the inside sales process. In this role, you will serve as a trusted solution and technical advisor, ensuring successful deployment and adoption of Smartsheet's platform. This position is part of the Enterprise Sales team and reports to the Manager of Enterprise Solutions Engineering.
Key responsibilities include delivering technical demonstrations of the Smartsheet SaaS platform, integrations, and add-ons in partnership with Account Executives. You will collaborate with existing Solutions Engineers to design creative solutions tailored to customer requirements, identify and build Smartsheet solutions that address specific customer problems, and develop strong relationships with sales teams to drive successful sales engagements. Additionally, you will support the preparation of technical responses to prospect questions and contribute to defining best practices for broad usage across large enterprises.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer in the SaaS and/or enterprise software industry, demonstrating technical leadership and outstanding customer-facing skills. Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the capacity to explain technical subjects to non-technical end users in large enterprises. Experience in solution design or solution architecture related to collaboration, workflow, or project management is required. Willingness to travel periodically based on customer and business needs is also necessary.
