Enterprise Account Executive- Education
Smartsheet is seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team as an Enterprise Account Executive focused on the education sector. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and expanding relationships with higher education institutions and school districts within the Central Region, including Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Western Canada. This position reports to a Regional Director, Enterprise EDU, and offers the opportunity to contribute to Smartsheet's mission of empowering teams to achieve more through innovative work management solutions.
As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will navigate complex procurement processes within the education sector, identify and engage key stakeholders such as CIOs, IT directors, and academic leaders, and tailor sales presentations to address the specific needs of educational institutions. Your responsibilities will include developing new business opportunities, managing a diverse pipeline of sales prospects, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that drive customer success.
The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of full-cycle sales experience in a technology-oriented field, with a proven track record of success selling into state and local governments, K-12, or higher education institutions. Experience with RFPs, procurement cycles, and government contracting vehicles is essential. Strong relationship management skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and proficiency with CRM software and Google Suite are also required.
Smartsheet offers a competitive base salary range of $90,000 to $185,000 USD, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, vision, and dental coverage, a 401(k) match, flexible time away programs, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
