Engineering Manager- Software

Fictiv is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing software engineering team in Pune, India. This role focuses on building reliable, scalable solutions that accelerate product creation for customers across industries such as aerospace, robotics, and automotive. The Engineering Manager will provide strong technical leadership while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous growth.

Key responsibilities include coaching and mentoring engineering talent through regular feedback, performance management, and career growth planning. The role involves collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and translate needs into scalable technical solutions and platform capabilities. Additionally, the Engineering Manager will establish and continually improve team processes to enable iterative delivery, innovation, and high reliability.

The ideal candidate will have 12-15 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in an engineering management role. Experience managing technical teams of 5-8 engineers and demonstrated ability to scale teams is essential. Strong working experience in platform and API development using Node.js and GraphQL, as well as frontend enablement using React and TypeScript/JavaScript, is required. Proven experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud-native services on AWS is also necessary.
