Engineering Manager - Retail Acquisition

Bitso is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Retail Acquisition engineering team, focusing on expanding our user base across Latin America. This role involves both hands-on coding and team leadership, contributing directly to the development of our acquisition strategies and technical solutions.

Key responsibilities include managing and growing the Acquisition engineering squad, writing production code alongside the team, and architecting growth infrastructure such as acquisition funnels and referral systems. The role also involves overseeing people management processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define priorities, and establishing engineering processes and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a management role. Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework for backend development, as well as experience with React for frontend development, is required. Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work autonomously are essential.
