Experian is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the development of its Generative AI platform, aimed at enabling teams across regions to deliver high-quality GenAI capabilities more efficiently and securely. This role involves partnering with the Director to define the roadmap and outcomes, while taking ownership of operational execution by hiring, developing, and managing a high-performing team in Brazil. The team will focus on delivering reliable platform capabilities, including model serving, inference utilities, evaluation, memory management, and developer tooling.

Key responsibilities include building and leading a distributed team in Brazil, overseeing operational excellence through planning cadences, OKRs, delivery forecasting, risk management, and continuous improvement. The Engineering Manager will drive the execution of the GenAI platform roadmap in collaboration with the Director, manage cross-regional dependencies, and ensure production-grade engineering practices such as quality gates, CI/CD, observability, incident prevention, runbooks, and documentation. Additionally, the role involves partnering with security and architecture teams to ensure compliant and reliable model hosting and inference patterns, and fostering a culture of ownership, measurable outcomes, and pragmatic innovation.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced English proficiency and be available to travel to São Carlos/SP as needed. They should have experience managing software engineering teams that deliver platform or infrastructure products, demonstrated operational excellence in areas like metrics, cadences, predictable delivery, and continuous improvement. Comfort with leading work in cloud and data/AI ecosystems, particularly AWS and/or Databricks, with a strong plus for experience in GenAI/ML platforms, is essential. Strong communication skills in English and proven cross-regional collaboration experience are also required.

Preferred qualifications include experience with Databricks Model Serving and/or Kubernetes-based serving (EKS), building GenAI systems involving RAG, evaluation, safety/guardrails, and memory patterns, as well as AWS or Databricks certifications.
