Engineering Director
The Engineering Director position at Experian is a pivotal role within the Global Cloud Foundation Platform Engineering team, focusing on the engineering, architecture, and development of unified platform solutions and new product prototyping. This role reports to the Senior Director of Engineering and is based in Hyderabad. The Engineering Director will lead product engineering teams, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and aligning team development with business strategy. Key responsibilities include setting up and scaling engineering teams, overseeing UKI product and software deliveries, and utilizing metrics to monitor project health. The role also involves serving as an escalation point for client delivery issues, implementing best practices in test-driven development, CI/CD, and automated regression to ensure high-quality outputs. Additionally, the director will manage and reduce total cost of ownership through simplification, automation, and optimization strategies.
Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or Computer Science, along with over 15 years of experience in engineering, data science, or software development. Hands-on proficiency in AWS cloud services, full-stack development, testing, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps, and security best practices is essential. Proven team leadership and mentoring skills are required, as well as experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, SAFe, or LeSS frameworks.
