NATIONAL Public Relations is seeking a Director of Public Affairs to lead strategic government relations and communications initiatives. The Director will oversee client accounts, providing expert advice on government relations and public affairs strategies. Responsibilities include developing advocacy and communications plans aligned with client objectives, managing project delivery, and building relationships with clients, elected officials, and industry stakeholders. The role also involves mentoring team members and integrating emerging tools and best practices into public affairs programs.

Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in government relations or public affairs, with a preference for those who have worked in political offices or advised elected officials. A post-secondary education in political science, communications, or a related field is required. Strong writing, editing, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with experience in digital advocacy and comfort using AI-enabled tools. Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
