Director, Product/R&D Strategic Finance (FP&A)

Gong is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance to lead Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for its Research and Development (R&D) and Product strategy teams. This role involves close collaboration with the Chief Product Officer and Chief R&D Officer to drive strategic planning and deliver business insights that support the company's growth through innovation.

Key responsibilities include managing and developing the strategic finance function for Product and R&D, partnering with leadership to model long-term profit and loss trajectories, and leading forecasting and budgeting processes. The role also involves preparing and analyzing management presentations, supporting the month-end close process, building complex financial models, and developing scalable financial processes leveraging AI and automation.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, equity research, strategy consulting, or strategic corporate finance, preferably within high-tech or enterprise software companies. Additionally, they should have more than 4 years of experience building and managing high-performing teams, proven business partnership experience with C-suite executives, and deep experience with various financial applications such as ERP, CRM, and financial planning tools. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related discipline is required.
