In this role, the individual will own Mesh's commercial pipeline in Japan, engaging with exchanges, payment service providers, banks, and fintech companies from initial discussions to finalized contracts. They will build and manage relationships with key players in Japan's crypto and payments ecosystem, acting as Mesh's primary representative to partners, prospective clients, and regulators. Additionally, the individual will serve as a director of Mesh's Japan entity, holding statutory responsibility for local governance and board reporting, and will work closely with Mesh's global business development, legal, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with company strategy.
Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in payments, fintech, or financial services, with significant exposure to crypto or digital assets. Experience serving as a company director in Japan or a strong understanding of Japanese corporate governance and board obligations is essential. A well-established network across Japan's exchange, payment service provider, and financial services sectors is crucial. Fluency in both Japanese and English is required, with native Japanese proficiency preferred. A proven track record in closing complex, multi-stakeholder commercial deals and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, early-stage environment are also important.
The estimated base salary for this position ranges from ¥23,973,000 to ¥45,000,000 annually, excluding commission, equity, and benefits. This compensation range may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. Actual compensation will be determined during the interview process.
