The Director of Insurance Accounting & Reporting at Cowbell Cyber Inc. will lead the company's financial reporting and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and statutory requirements. Key responsibilities include overseeing monthly and quarterly financial closes, managing entity consolidations, and ensuring the accuracy of insurance financial results and related disclosures. The director will also lead statutory accounting and reporting, prepare and review financial statements and regulatory filings, and oversee insurance accounting across premiums, losses, reserves, and reinsurance. Additionally, the role involves directing accounting and reporting for reinsurance arrangements, coordinating with partners, and supporting external audits and regulatory inquiries.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification, and 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector. Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP and statutory accounting frameworks, experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, and the ability to operate effectively in a dual GAAP/statutory environment are essential. Audit experience with insurance industry clients and experience with statutory filings are strongly preferred.
