Cowbell Cyber is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to join our dynamic team in London, UK. As a leading innovator in cyber insurance, Cowbell provides small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with advanced warning of cyber risk exposures, offering adaptable coverage to meet evolving threats. In this position, you will be responsible for promptly and professionally responding to new business and renewal inquiries, with a particular focus on renewals. You will deliver high-quality service and quotations within agreed service level agreements and underwriting authority. Building strong technical knowledge of the cyber market, including underwriting exposure and control analysis, will be essential. Additionally, you will develop and maintain relationships with insurance brokers, negotiating pricing, coverages, and other terms. Supporting the preparation of management information and reports, as well as identifying areas where our unique capabilities provide a competitive advantage, are key aspects of the role. Attending relevant industry events to support learning and relationship building is also expected.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of insurance experience, with previous broking or underwriting experience within specialty lines being desirable. We are looking for a driven, self-starting individual with a strong work ethic who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute effectively within a high-performance team. A keen interest in cyber and technology, strong organizational skills, and a passion for building long-term relationships with brokers and colleagues across the organization are essential.
