Red Cell Partners is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to lead the development and operation of a secure, scalable production deployment pipeline for mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) software. This role involves overseeing the entire software delivery lifecycle, from code intake to deployment, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and security protocols. The position is remote within the United States, offering a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects in the defense sector.

As the DevSecOps Project Lead, you will be responsible for designing and scaling hosting architectures in IL-5 environments with a path to IL-6, evaluating deployment strategies across government networks and cloud platforms, and building production environments that support zero-downtime deployments. You will own the end-to-end DevSecOps pipeline, integrating testing, security scanning, and compliance validation, and ensure alignment with DoD requirements such as Iron Bank, STIGs, ACAS/OpenSCAP, and FIPS. Additionally, you will lead the transition from incumbent contractors and government-furnished environments, inventory and assess existing services and infrastructure, and simplify and consolidate architecture into a scalable, maintainable system.

Candidates should have over 8 years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps engineering, including at least one production pipeline owned end-to-end at scale. A minimum of 5 years operating in DoD cloud environments (Azure Gov IL-5, AWS GovCloud, or equivalent IL-5 authorized environment) is required, along with hands-on experience managing at least one complete ATO or cATO pathway in production. U.S. citizenship and an active Secret Clearance are mandatory, with a TS/SCI clearance preferred. Willingness to travel up to 25% to U.S. Marine Corps sites, DEFCON AI headquarters, and industry vendor facilities is also necessary.

The compensation package includes a competitive salary ranging from $175,000 to $215,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package. This includes 100% employer-paid health insurance covering medical, dental, and vision for you and your family, unlimited paid time off (PTO) with manager approval, and a flexible work environment where you manage your workday. Additionally, the company offers 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave.
