Senior Healthcare Sales Executive
The Senior Healthcare Sales Executive will join Trase, an AI-driven platform co-founded in 2023 by Joe Laws and Grant Verstandig, under the incubation of Red Cell Partners. Trase focuses on deploying, managing, and optimizing AI solutions within the healthcare sector, aiming to enhance efficiency and achieve significant cost savings. The company has successfully implemented its platform at Duke Health, saving over 5,490 hours of clinical labor annually in a single department. With $10.5 million in funding from Red Cell Partners and a leading position on the Hugging Face GAIA Leaderboard for Generalized AI Assistants, Trase is poised for substantial growth.
In this role, the Senior Healthcare Sales Executive will own the full sales cycle for new customers across various healthcare segments beyond hospitals and health systems. This includes payers, pharmacy benefit managers, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, medical device manufacturers, health tech vendors, specialty and ambulatory care providers, behavioral health organizations, long-term and post-acute care operators, and government health agencies. The executive will lead consultative, value-driven sales processes, engaging with C-suite executives and multi-stakeholder buying committees to define and promote AI solutions in regulated healthcare environments.
Key responsibilities encompass identifying and closing new enterprise clients, navigating complex organizational structures to engage executive sponsors and decision-makers, and leading sales cycles grounded in customer workflows and regulatory considerations. The role also involves building ROI models tied to cost reduction and operational optimization, designing outcome-based proof-of-concept projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance deals and ensure successful client onboarding.
The ideal candidate will have over eight years of healthcare sales experience, particularly in non-acute segments such as payers, pharma, life sciences, or health tech, with a proven track record of exceeding quotas. Experience in closing complex deals ranging from $250K to over $1M in annual recurring revenue is essential. A deep understanding of payer claims adjudication, pharmaceutical operations, and value-based care models is required, along with experience selling technical SaaS, AI, data, or cloud platforms in regulated environments. Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements like HIPAA and CMS, and the ability to engage with C-level executives, are also critical.
Compensation for this position includes a base salary ranging from $175,000 to $225,000, complemented by performance-based bonuses. Trase offers a dynamic work environment where employees can significantly impact the healthcare industry by operationalizing AI at scale. Backed by Red Cell Partners and led by experienced executives, including a President formerly serving as VP of AI/ML at AWS, Trase provides substantial growth opportunities for its team members.
