Data Scientist II (Hybrid in Bangalore)

Smartsheet is seeking a Data Scientist II to join its Business Intelligence team in Bangalore. This role involves collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to analyze data and provide insights that drive business decisions. The position offers a hybrid work environment, combining both in-office and remote work.

The Data Scientist II will develop and implement advanced predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning algorithms to inform marketing and product strategies. Responsibilities include conducting experiments, causal studies, and A/B tests to measure the impact of marketing and product initiatives, as well as designing metrics to analyze customer usage and optimize product features.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience. Required skills include proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau. Extensive knowledge in machine learning, statistics, natural language processing, deep learning, recommendation systems, and experimental design is essential. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate insights effectively are also required.
