Data Protection Lawyer
Axiom is seeking a Data Protection Lawyer to provide in-house legal counsel on privacy, data-sharing, and compliance with the EU AI Act for various clients across all industries. The role involves drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial agreements with a focus on information law clauses, ensuring alignment with EU DSA regulations. Additionally, the lawyer will draft and advise on data protection-related documentation, including data processing agreements, data transfer agreements, data subject access requests, and data privacy impact assessments. The position also entails providing guidance on new compliance reporting and data tracking requirements, aligning with the EU AI Act and EU DSA, and overseeing revisions to internal codes of conduct to ensure adherence to the latest UK and EU privacy laws, including the Data Protection Directive and GDPR.
The ideal candidate should possess strong commercial understanding and excellent interpersonal skills. They must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible to practice as a lawyer in the UK.
