Data Migration Engineer
The Data Migration Engineer at Mitratech plays a pivotal role within the Professional Services team, focusing on the seamless transition of client data from legacy systems to Mitratech's suite of products. Key responsibilities include analyzing client data, providing cleanup recommendations, developing migration scripts, and executing data migrations within both hosted environments and remote settings. The engineer collaborates closely with Business Analysts and Project Managers to address data mapping items, participates in data design sessions, and engages with clients to resolve data inconsistencies. Additionally, the role involves building script libraries, documenting processes, and contributing to internal resource training and administration.
Candidates should possess over five years of hands-on experience with database development and scripting on Oracle and SQL Server platforms, including expertise in database structures, complex procedures, dynamic SQL, and ETL processes. A solid understanding of administering Oracle (versions 12c and 19c) and SQL Server (versions 2012, 2016, 2018+) databases is essential. Familiarity with data warehouse principles, basic knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript, and VBScript, as well as experience with software development methodologies like Waterfall and Agile, are also required. Proficiency in working within both Windows and Linux environments is expected.
