Data Engineer
As a Data Engineer at Twitch, you will be an integral part of the Data Platform organization, responsible for transforming the company's extensive datasets into accessible and actionable resources. Collaborating with senior team members, data engineers, scientists, and various stakeholders, you will play a key role in defining and managing core business metrics, ensuring that data-driven decisions are well-supported across the organization.
Your primary responsibilities will include working closely with data scientists and engineers to design and implement robust data architectures and pipelines. You will develop and manage scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources, automate data processing and reporting workflows to enhance efficiency and data integrity, and implement data quality checks to maintain high data accuracy. Additionally, you will simplify and improve the accessibility and usability of large and complex datasets through the development of data cubes and data-sharing solutions.
The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in data engineering, data science, or software engineering roles. Proficiency in writing and maintaining robust data pipelines using SQL and Python is essential. A proven track record of translating stakeholder data requirements into actionable plans, experience with cloud-native solutions, and a history of implementing best practices in data pipelines to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability are also required.

The base salary for this position ranges from $152,000 to $205,600 USD, with final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
