Data Analyst
WPP Media is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analyst to join its Data and Technology Solutions team in London, United Kingdom. This pivotal role is central to ensuring clarity, efficiency, and scalability across digital operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and other domain experts globally to define, document, and optimize global data management and business intelligence functions.
The Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting existing digital operations, data management, and BI processes to identify manual steps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies. They will spot automation opportunities, such as RPA, system integrations, and workflow optimization, to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Additionally, the analyst will document business requirements, turning them into clear and concise functional and technical specifications, and work with central and local teams to validate business cases and map projected "To-Be" states to illustrate efficiency gains.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Business Analyst, Process Improvement Analyst, or in related roles on data or platform initiatives. They should possess proven experience in gathering requirements through workshops, interviews, and documentation review, and the ability to translate business needs into structured requirements and user stories. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. A solid understanding of data concepts such as master data, reference data, data quality, and integrations is also required.
