The Senior Executive, Media Planning at WPP Media plays a pivotal role within the Media Futures Group (MFG), a bespoke team dedicated to delivering strategic, creative, and integrated media solutions for clients like Google. This position involves collaborating with a diverse team of digital, offline, and integrated media experts to enhance media's contribution to clients' business objectives.
Key responsibilities include supporting media planning managers to ensure smooth campaign delivery and performance against agreed outcomes. The role involves conducting research and compiling data to guide planning and optimization recommendations, validating creative specifications, and collaborating with creative agency partners to meet deadlines. Additionally, the Senior Executive develops strong relationships with the Activation team to facilitate flawless execution of plans, prepares data for reporting and analysis, and contributes to internal case studies for sharing learning and best practices.
The ideal candidate possesses basic spreadsheet capabilities, including proficiency with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, and is adept at creating presentations in slides or document format. An understanding of industry-standard media research tools, such as Comscore, GWI, TGI, and YouGov, is essential. The role requires sound written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, close attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience in media, advertising, or a related field, preferably in planning at the executive level, is required.
