Cyber Security Specialist

Milbank LLP is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join its Information Technology team. This remote position requires candidates to reside in the NY Tri-state area (NY, NJ, or CT), CA, DC Metro, or KS Metro regions. The role involves managing and providing technical support for the firm's security products, as well as conducting daily investigations of security incidents, assessments, and audits.

Key responsibilities include managing firewalls, antivirus solutions, web filtering, data loss prevention, intrusion detection and prevention systems, network access control, and distributed denial-of-service protection. The specialist will also oversee Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) systems, investigate security events, manage privileged account management systems, perform technical security audits, and conduct risk assessments.

Candidates should have 5-7+ years of experience in IT security, with prior experience in incident response, investigations, and forensic analysis. Extensive knowledge of security best practices related to computer systems, networks, and telecommunications is essential. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
