Country Controller, Serbia

Wolt is seeking a dedicated and experienced Country Controller to oversee its financial operations in Serbia. This role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with local regulations, and supporting the company's growth in the region. The successful candidate will be based in Belgrade and will report to the Regional Financial Controller, collaborating closely with both local teams and the centralized Finance team at Wolt's headquarters.

The Country Controller will manage all aspects of Wolt Serbia's accounting, including accurate monthly reporting, annual financial statements, and other statutory reporting requirements. Responsibilities encompass creating fully reconciled financial positions, leading local and global finance initiatives, implementing financial processes, and ensuring adherence to global policies. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and strengthening relationships with local auditors, authorities, and senior management, as well as overseeing local compliance matters and coordinating with external advisors and regulatory bodies.

Candidates should possess extensive experience as a chartered accountant with expertise in local statutory accounting and tax compliance. A solid background in bookkeeping or accounting roles within multinational companies is preferred. A master's degree in accounting or CPA/ACCA qualification, along with an active Chartered Accountant Certification, is required. Experience with IFRS and proficiency in MS Excel are advantageous, as is prior experience with NetSuite. Fluency in both Serbian and English, both spoken and written, is essential.
