Counsel, Global Structured Finance and Infrastructure

Assured Guaranty is seeking a seasoned transactional lawyer to join its New York team as Counsel, Global Structured Finance and Infrastructure. This role involves providing legal advice and assistance on U.S. and international infrastructure finance transactions, working closely with experienced professionals in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will support deal origination teams in structuring, negotiating, and documenting infrastructure transactions. Responsibilities include collaborating with credit teams to identify and address credit-related issues, assisting surveillance teams with ongoing transaction monitoring, and managing external legal support effectively.

Candidates should have at least six years of experience in a leading financial services law firm, with strong expertise in complex transactions, particularly in infrastructure finance. Essential skills include sensitivity to legal and commercial risks, excellent academic qualifications, strong oral and written communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently while seeking input from colleagues when necessary.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $260,000 to $280,000, depending on experience and credentials. Additional compensation includes employee benefits, eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus, and long-term incentive awards.
