Counsel – Employment Law
Veeam Software is seeking a Counsel specializing in Employment Law to join our legal team in Prague, Czechia. Reporting to the Senior Director, Employment Counsel, this role offers the opportunity to provide practical, risk-based advice on global employment matters, primarily supporting the EMEA and APJ regions, with potential involvement in other areas and global projects.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day legal counseling to HR, management, and other stakeholders on global employment matters, including hiring, classification, accommodations, leaves, discipline, and terminations. Responsibilities also include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment-related agreements and documents, managing employment-related claims and litigation, supporting employee relations matters and workplace investigations, and overseeing outside counsel on immigration matters.
Applicants should possess a law degree with active membership in the Czech Bar Association, a proficient level of English, and at least 7 years of relevant employment law experience, either in-house or at a law firm. Experience with multi-jurisdictional or global employment issues is strongly preferred. The role requires strong legal judgment, the ability to manage projects independently, clear communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and matter/document management systems.
