In this position, the Compliance Associate will conduct due diligence reviews of potential data providers and software solutions, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws, usage rights, and authorization to sell, license, or share data. The role also involves preparing due diligence memoranda, reviewing automated open-source program requests, and providing compliance support to research-centric discretionary investment and Market Intelligence teams. Additionally, the associate will negotiate data and research provider contracts, assist in drafting and implementing compliance best practices, and collaborate with the broader Compliance department.
Candidates should possess 1-3 years of compliance experience in the financial services industry, a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school, and bar membership. Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. A commitment to the highest ethical standards and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are also required.
The annual base salary for this role ranges from $125,000 to $175,000 USD, excluding discretionary bonus compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
