Compliance Analyst – CAT Transaction System
Interactive Brokers (IBKR) is seeking a Compliance Analyst for its Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) Transaction System. This role is based in Greenwich, Connecticut, and is part of IBKR's compliance team, which ensures adherence to financial regulations and internal policies. As a Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing the firm's compliance with CAT reporting requirements. Your duties will include reviewing regulatory data to identify and address errors, utilizing UNIX command tools to correct records, developing surveillance mechanisms for regulatory reporting, and automating the CAT Feedback system. Additionally, you will collaborate with software developers and management to resolve issues, assist in responding to examinations and formal inquiries, and propose improvements to regulatory reporting controls.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative or analytical field, and have 1–2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist, ideally within the financial industry. Strong data analysis, investigatory, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Perl, and experience with database queries (e.g., SQL), are highly desirable. Familiarity with regulatory research, UNIX systems, and tools like Atlassian's Confluence and JIRA will be advantageous.
