Legal Counsel
Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited (IBIE), a leading investment firm, is seeking a qualified solicitor or barrister to join their Dublin office as Legal Counsel. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of legal and regulatory matters in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The successful candidate will be part of the IBIE Legal team and will interact daily with the wider Interactive Brokers' Global and European legal and compliance teams.
Key responsibilities include providing day-to-day legal advice to internal stakeholders on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters, advising on the design and roll-out of new products and services, reviewing and negotiating customer-facing contractual agreements, and assisting with regulatory inquiries from the Central Bank of Ireland and other EU regulatory authorities. The role also involves liaising and engaging with external legal advisers.
The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer with 3-5 years of experience at a law firm, financial institution, regulatory agency, exchange, broker-dealer, or technology company. A strong academic background with excellent legal analysis and reasoning skills is essential. The candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, and a positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
